Redundant church comes alive for Harvest Home

This is the time of year when churches all around Norfolk are decorated with farm and garden produce for the traditional harvest festival.
Many are redundant churches - where services are no longer normally held - cared for by the Churches Conservation Trust, and by dedicated groups of local parishioners.
One such is at Moulton St. Mary, set in meadows just south of Acle, with a typical Norman round tower, and other sections dating from Tudor and Georgian times.
The afternoon of Sunday 9th September saw the church packed for its ‘Harvest Home’, with the Stalham Brass Band, under director of music Tim Thirst, leading the congregation in their joyful singing. The service was taken by the Rev'd Martin Greenland, Rector of Acle.
