STALHAM BRASS BAND have an introductory course starting in October for new brass players .
Perhaps you haven't played for a while and now have time to take it up again. It may be that you had to put playing aside to raise a family, or perhaps it's something you gave up on leaving school. Whatever the reason, if you like the idea of putting something back into the community and furthering your music skills as well, then this is for you. All ages are welcome, as well as family groups and your previous music playing need not have been on a brass instrument.
Stalham Brass Band is the longest established band in the East of England and one of only a few bands in the UK to have been awarded the Queen's Golden Jubilee Award for its service to the community. For its outreach work it also won a national competition last year organised by the British Bandsman magazine.
Last Christmas the band received the rare honour of a personal invitation from Her Majesty The Queen to play Christmas carols at Sandringham House for the Royal Family.
